Small Awakening

|
A young girl awakens inside a submarine. She is short statured girl with high ambitions and curiosity. Her name is Carina. She set sails with her father and her friendly neighbor, Taini, on a personal submarine he made throughout his life. While submerged, he suffers a heart attack that leaves him unconscious, prompting her and Taini to reach out to him, take his hulking body to the side to stop the submarine and send an SOS distress message to nearby rescue.

Time Illusion

Carina, scared of what's to come, is panicked and doesn't know what to do. By the time the SOS message reaches the rescue, he has already stopped breathing. As the underwater relay system grabs the submarine using its ultramodern rescue crane, the girls are brought to shore in the dead of night, with the moon shining over their faces. There is a glow of red alarm lights aboard the craft that will now bring them home.

Swan Song

|
At home, Carina tirelessly sobs until she remembers a map her father told her about in case of an emergency and he wasn't to survive. On her way into his room, she scans the surrounding using her PDA to see if she can find a package that matches the descriptor of an electronic map. A signal is picked up and the package has the words "Swan Song" written on the front.

Autonomous

Carina immediately opens the package that contains it and begins to read the contents. As she expected, there is a fully functional, mechanical map that points her to a location in the deeper areas of the sea. There is also a typed letter written by her father, that informs whomever reads the note to find his soul in the submerged, breathable cavern near the beautiful deep sea coral reef. "In this cavern, you will find my life's work, pride, and passion. Once discovered, you will realize my true soul rests within this."

|
Before his funeral can begin, Carina immediately goes to fix up the miniature submarine gifted to her by her father, docked in their garage by the water.

Dive

|
Without a moment's hesitation, Carina fixes the ship, brings supplies and food with her, and initiates the dive. She gives the coordinates to the submarine, which then routes her to the destination and begins automatic piloting. She begins to fall asleep and dreams of a familiar presence traveling with her.

Submerged

|
When Carina awakens, she finds that she is now submerged completely in the deep sea and views the coral reef nearby. The reef is a gargantuan, sprawling, and lush piece of scenery that glows on the face of all who are within viewing distance. She cannot believe her eyes. She sees the beautiful jellyfish lurking inside the reef as she speeds past the monolithic area. There is a sense of unease, however, as Carina worries she might have seen a humanoid-like figure near some of the aquatic life. Nevertheless, in the middle of the reef, she spots a giant cavern and sees an opening that looks safe enough to come in and out of. For safe measure, she brings a diving suit and supplies in her backpack she packed.

Meet Me Where They Grow

|
As Carina goes into the cavern, she is shocked to see a growth of beautiful minerals and internal coral reefs forming inside the cavern. The inside is completely otherworldly and bizarre, featuring architecture that feels it was made without the input of humans, yet surprisingly familiar with abandoned outpost and structures that feel habitatable. As she nears the destination on foot, she begins to feel exhausted, and rests 30 feet away from where she needs to go. She yet again feels a presence among the ground in her dreams, but this time it is a much more of an abstraction.

Claymore

|
Carina wakes up, still half asleep but dedicated to keep moving to find her father's soul. She makes it to the destination, and is perplexed by a central staircase that leads upwards. While she is going up, a creature is coming down. Just before she can notice the distinct humanoid, it grabs her and starts screaming. Startled, she tries her best to push the creature off her, and pushes it near the railing. It fidgets inhumanely and then immediately starts running back. After much resistance, Carina pushes it again upwards towards the stairs, in which it trips backwards on a mysterious object reminiscent of a claymore landmine. Suddenly, a huge explosion starts and the girl begins to run as far as she can away from the explosion but trips, injures her leg, and blacks out.

|
When Carina awakens, she sees the cavern's staircase is destroyed and tries to crawl away but the pain in her leg is unbearable and forces another blackout. She begins to dream that horrifying creatures have kidnapped her and strapped her to sterile technology but somehow, either through pure strength or otherwise, she manages to break out. She runs, reaching for the exit and for the warmth of a familiar presence that she is steadily approaching. The figure that awaits her is finally spotted, brushing their hair away from them and holding arms out to welcome Carina.

Reminiscent

|
When Carina opens her eyes from the delirious state she notices that there is some force that is repairing the staircase, she assumes it is her father's soul fixing the damage done by those that tried to hurt her and starts to reminisce about time they had together, before noticing she is being carried away by human hands and feels thick, black hair caressing her shoulder. The hands feel warm, familiar and close. She can feel the heartbeat and uneasiness within the one carrying her away. The pain in her leg, however, is unbearable and she is faintly seeing abstractions and figures morphing into a strange, alien formation. The one holding her tells her not worry, for she will lead them into safety. The voice is recognizable, but how did they get here? As her minds wonders, her eyes begin to feel heavy as she slips back into unconsciousness.
